Pneumatic conveying system

Give me a place to stand on, and I will move the Earth Archimedes

If you want to increase the capacity of your EPS plant, your place to stand on will be to make it automatic. To continue the analogy, ways of transporting the material is the lever for all the system. Expandable polystyrene goes all the way from the feeding box to the preexpander, gets expanded, cures in the hoppers and travels further to the blockmold to be transformed into the finished product, i.e. styrofoam. See this diagram to see the whole route the material makes.

The beads travel along with directional air flows in PP or galvanized steel tubes with the diameter of 120 to 200 mm. Steel tubes are more expensive and difficult to mount, however, they offer more protection from static that is inevitably generated by the friction of EPS beads inside the tubes.

Manual or pneumatically-controlled (for automatic systems) slides and dampers are used as check valves. If many silo hoppers are involved in the production process, it becomes more expedient to control them automatically. An automatic hopper control system makes it possible to control silos loading and unloading from the operator’s panel. The operator’s panel has a color touch screen with real-time indication of hopper filling levels and damper positions. Dampers can also be manually operated.

Used in the process of hopper discharge.

For an automatic line, you can set priority and order of hopper filling and discharge, that is, it will be possible to direct the preexpanded material in a particular order: to hopper 3, to hopper 5, or to discharge it to the molding stage: to the molding hopper 2, to the molding hopper 4, etc. All hoppers are equipped with vibration or optical sensors on the upper and the lower levels.

Blockmold's feeding valvesThe material is fed to the blockmold by our branded feeding valves. The feeding valve is pneumatically operated and has a sealed piston to ensure that steam does not leak from the blockmold to the air transport system to fuse the material. Standard feeding valve passage diameter is 100 mm. The price of a feeding valve is 700 $.
