Our EPS manufacturing system follows these basic stages: preexpansion of EPS beads, block molding and block cutting into sheets. The main units in the line such as preexpander, blockmolds,cutters of various design are specially adapted to perform one of the above functions. If you are going to manufacture ICF structures, a dedicated blockmold is included in the list of equipment supplied.
The material is transported between curing bunkers and other units by pneumatic pipelines.

All stages of the EPS manufacturing process are presented on the screen as a graphic panel. Process values are displayed in real time both as digits and as animated images that change their color depending on the status of the value in question.
What is foam plastic and expanded polystyrene (EPS)?
Foam plastic is a gas-expanded closed cell low-density polymer. This material can function as a good heat and sound insulant.
This group of plastics includes polyurethane foam, polyvinylchloride foam, phenol formaldehyde foam, urea formaldehyde foam and the most widespread of them — expanded polystyrene.
Expanded polystyrene was invented by BASF in 1951 and trademarked as Styropor. Styropor (EPS) beads are a product of styrene polymerization with pentane as an added blowing agent. EPS (expanded polystyrene, Styropor) is a thermal insulation material which mostly consists of air (98%) locked in billions of thin-walled EPS microcells.
Where is EPS used?
Application of EPS is in accordance with its physical properties. Its additional advantage is that EPS can also be reused and recycled.
EPS sheets are used to provide thermal insulation for the following construction applications:
outdoor and indoor winterization systems;
layered construction systems (multi-layer brickwork, triple concrete blocks or reinforced concrete slabs);
steel-coated sandwich panels;
insulated concrete forms;
as base for roof membranes or built-up roofing (underlayment thickness should be in accordance with fire safety regulations);
heat insulation of cellars and flooring;
as base for roads to protect them from freezing.
Expanded polystyrene has also been successfully employed in such areas as refrigeration, shipbuilding for wharf boats and floating hulls, as packaging material for household goods and food. Molded ornamental EPS structures (ceiling panels, floor moldings, etc) have recently become very popular as this material is easy to form and extremely cost effective.
EPS machinery as a profitable business
EPS is 98 per cent of air and only 2 per cent of EPS itself, and an EPS block of a popular density designation 25 weighs about 17 kg, so it's quite unprofitable to deliver EPS sheets and blocks to distant places. That is why it is much more reasonable to launch an EPS manufacturing facility in the region of sales.
